John has arranged this beautiful waltz composed by Joe Lovano especially for a performance with Joe. It features tenor or soprano sax throughout, and is a great vehicle for your jazz tenor player. You'll also hear some wonderful sonorities prevalent in the brass passages, and the entire band plays an integral role in the development of the piece. Check out the themes stated by the bari sax, bass, and bass trombone!

This wonderful standard is arranged as a jazz waltz for big band! It features a contrapuntal treatment of the melody between saxophones and brass without rhythm section for the “A” sections. An interlude precedes the solo section that may be opened up for any soloist. An exciting shout chorus, recap of the melody, and thematic coda finish out the chart!

Commissioned by DIVA, this medley of two wonderful tunes are sure to delight your audiences! Pure Imagination, arranged as an a cappella ballad begins with a lush saxophone section soli followed by a rich brass chorale. Flutes interject themes from Never Never Land as a hint of things to come. Never Never Land features trumpet and tenor saxophone in a straight 8th groove with a creative reharmonization of the tune. Pay particular attention to the creative motivic development prevalent throughout the piece. Woodwind doubles include soprano sax and flutes. A real gem!
